Interior & Architectural Design and Artwork Consulting | Houston, TX

We are called to compose artistic environments that transcend mere functionality, creating singular homes that breathe life into a profound and universal desire to thrive.

Founded in 2013, Lambrakos Studio is an award-winning, nationally-celebrated design firm in Houston, Texas.

At the heart of our creative ethos lies the harmonious fusion of science and ingenuity, woven together through the mediums of architecture, art, and design. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every space we craft is a canvas upon which the unique stories of our clients unfold.

With reverence for both the empirical and the imaginative, we embark on a journey of co-creation, delving deep into the essence of each client's identity, family dynamics, and personal narrative. We transform these insights into tangible, unforgettable spaces that resonate with authenticity.

The homes we design, like masterpieces of art, become sanctuaries of inspiration, catalysts for introspection, and vessels that encapsulate the very spirit of living.

At the heart of our practice is a robust team that embraces the strength of rigorous technical precision entwined with an intuitive, poetic sense of artistry.

With an unwavering focus on our clients, we listen, advise, and inspire, collaborating seamlessly with skilled artisans and creative design professionals across our industry to forge homes imbued with comfort and beauty.

Mary Lambrakos

Principal

A Houstonian raised in a close-knit Greek-American family, Mary Lambrakos is a rising star on the Texas design scene. Mary is a graduate of the esteemed Rice University with a degree in art history, specializing in modern and African art, with a focused study in English. Awarded a prestigious Menil Fellowship, she then studied at The Menil Collection, leading her to be hired as a curatorial assistant where she worked directly with curator Franklin Sirmans (now director of Pérez Art Museum Miami). At the Menil, Mary contributed to the seminal exhibition and catalog, NeoHooDoo: Art for a Forgotten Faith

Today, Lambrakos’ formal education, far-flung global travels, and passion for architectural and design history all inform her brilliant, intuitive approach to interior design, spatial planning, furniture design, and art advisory services. Her recent work transforming a high-profile, Brutalist concrete building into an elegant and modern penthouse serves as a testament to her hallmark ability to compose complex designs that resonate deeply within their intended purpose and context. Mary’s interiors are carefully-considered, masterfully constructed, and altogether unforgettable.
