A testament to quiet and classical beauty, this is one of Reagan Miller’s final projects in Houston. These interiors honor and reinvent 20th century design to capture interiority as expansive, light-infused, and restrained, a careful play and balance of materials and form enfold luxury with simplicity. I am emboldened by artistic movements - the sumptuousness of Art Deco in the tailoring and pattern of fabrics, the streamlined forms of Modernism as shape, color and texture interweave a setting to different effect as one moves through a modular and dynamic living space, a private couplet of chairs ensconced in a cascade of silk drapes and wall covering, a sitting room suspended at the break of dawn in soft copper tones, the striated carved backdrop of a bedroom, and the transcendence of a personified study.
